So I had another lucid dream (of course). Get ready for another adventure. I dreamed that I was at a family reunion. The strange thing is that everyone at the table was not blood relatives. Strangely enough they were all women. In fact, I didn’t recognize anyone at the table aside from my wife. As I walked into the room, I overheard someone asking her how she was doing. She then turned to me, tears streaming down her face. I yelled at everyone in the room to “circle the wagons!” I left the room because I felt like I didn’t belong there at the moment. I went walking down a hallway and realized that I had a towel in my hand and I was wearing shower shoes. I decided to hold on to them and kept walking. I passed by a woman chasing after her daughter. I reached the end of the hallway and there was a line of people waiting for a shower. I was about 4th in line behind one woman and two men. I decided to go back to the gathering room. I entered the room. There were only about two of the ten people left in there. My wife was gone. I asked where she went. “I don’t know. West?” She pointed towards the other door leading outside. I ran out. The sun was high in the sky, shadows were short, and there were people walking up and down the sidewalks. I saw my car so I walked over. I stood at the back of my car and looked around. My wife was not in sight. I noticed a guy standing closely to my car. The window was smashed in but the glass was merely set inside the car in a neat triangle in the trunk. I looked inside and then turned to look at the guy standing too close to my car. He started to approach me and I knew I was in trouble. I turned and started to fly. Others started pursuing me when I left the ground. At first they were simply walking down the sidewalk. Slowly but surely they revealed themselves. I could sense who they were before they even knew. They were above me as well. I turned to face them. I looked up and there was a flying van hovering 15 feet over me. The side door slid open and someone started dumping bloody bags of body parts onto the sidewalk below. I knew what this was and immediately screamed. I started yelling “these murderers! Look at what they did!” I knew they wanted to flip the script on me so I pre-flipped it on them. The pedestrians stopped and looked in horror as human limbs and heads squished against the sidewalk in the most grotesque of manners. It was so shocking that my pursuers just watched in awe. I flashed by them, pass my car, and was on my way to find my wife. While I was zooming about I noticed one person still walking. They sensed me noticing them and turned around. I tried to read their mind but I could not. Their face was hidden by a white cloth but I could sense it was feminine. Great, boss fight time…. She approached me with both arms raised like the mummies from old Hollywood movies and closed the distance in a few seconds. Something in my mind switched and I felt adrenaline coursing through me. I felt the power of something, someone other than myself. The power yearned to be used. I reacted with swift prejudice and rage. I grabbed her by the head and, using all my newfound strength, brought her down to the ground. I slammed her head into the sidewalk and took off. Her lifeless from remained as I understood what I had become. I started as a psychic and became a head smasher. No one witnessed what happened. I approached a ziggurat. It was black. It was metal. Despite the sun, there was no heat and there was no reflection off of its surface. It had glass windows that felt cosmetic and not functional. It sort of spiraled upwards, twisting into a mysterious shape of metal, stone, and glass unlike anything I had ever seen. I needed to get inside to discover what was in there. The entrance was a series of upward-spiraling, revolving doors that were inspiring yet at the same time frightening. One wrong step and I would have died (not really though, my dream). Inside I worked my way up some stairs to a platform. The entire inside of the building was the same black, metallic surface. It felt like stone under my feet. I was approached by men in black robes. They gestured for me to follow. I did so. As I followed I was taken aback by the architecture and fell behind a little. I noticed that whenever they rounded a corner, they seemed to speed up. I sped up. Before I knew it, I was back at the platform. They gestured again and I followed. The same thing happened. They left me behind, this time not because I was distracted but because they were just that fast. I felt the need to walk in this place. It felt like running would destroy the forbidden. After the second iteration, I stood at the platform. I reasoned that I wasn’t going to get anywhere following them, especially chasing after them. I came to my answer. I started after them as they gestured. Immediately after the first corner, I turned around and walked back the way I came from. I encountered the two men in robes. They phased through me and kept going. They were on a loop. Ghosts held over from some ancient time. Perhaps they ran through the ziggurat pursuing who knows what and were cursed to continue for eternity. Anyway, after they phased through me, I could see that the exit was once the entrance. Or maybe it had always been. I approached it knowing that whatever was outside would not be the world I knew. End of the lucid dream. Was that weird?
