A Car, a cliff and a sandstorm lucid dream

So I had this lucid dream. Let's get into it. I was driving to a meeting. My wife was in the car and we were running late. I don't remember checking the time but I knew that I should have been there a few minutes prior. I was pushing the car to the limit and wife told me that I should probably slow down. It felt like we were somewhere on the west coast because I could see the ocean in the distance. All the other cars on the road were driving just as fast as we were but because we were on a 6 lane highway it didn't seem to matter. Anyway, at some point I realized that we were actually driving in the wrong direction so I pulled a quick u-turn and now we were heading downhill with the ocean on our right side. My wife was busy looking out the window. Ahead, the road split and there was an absurd lane of traffic introduced that flowed against the direction of travel. I turned left, away from the coast and continued speeding. I saw a few miles out that the road ended so I hit the brakes. The brakes turned out to be the gas pedal so we sped up. I looked down and only saw two gas pedals. Thinking quickly, I turned the vehicle to break the momentum up. The idea was that it would spin (and maybe flip) but I would stop any serious damage. That's not what happened though. The car spun out and with every rotation I could see the cliff getting closer. My wife screamed as the car went over the cliff, car spinning until I landed it safely on the shore below. I looked out of the passenger window and saw a seaside pawnshop. The windows were boarded up and sand had accumulated along the front of the store. A strong wind, probably 60 mph cut across the landscape and pushed the car to the left. I instinctively looked out the driver's window. Sure enough, there was what can only be described as a swirling black hole sandstorm anomaly that was basically a big vortex dropping sand in a constant stream at the bottom. The top of this thing was drawing the landscape and that's where that strong wind came from. It was constant. I stopped the car from moving towards the vortex and I shifted the car into a cave I created on the cliffside. We were safe. And then the name Schueter Shrinker came to mind. He owned that pawn shop. I woke up thinking about Schueter. Was that weird?
